Ochiltree Castle, West Lothian

Ochiltree Castle (previously: Uchiltre; meaning: the high town or high dwelling place) is a 16th-century tower house in West Lothian, Scotland. It is also described as a farmhouse and lairds house. ==Geography==
At the time of an 1816 survey, the Ochiltree estate was owned by Archibald Primrose, 4th Earl of Rosebery and stretched between two parishes, Linlithgow parish and Ecclesmachan parish. The survey showed several farms including that of Ochiltree, Ochiltree Place, Kippetstone, Oldhill, Little Ochiltree, Ochiltree Mill, East Broadlaw, and West Broadlaw. Adjacent neighbors were the Earl of Hopetoun, Earl of Selkirk, Captain Stewart, James Johnstone, Thomas Sharpe and Hunter of Thurstone.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Plan of The Estate of Ochiltree, West Lothian )
